Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers / Neighbors Helping Neighbors
Transportation is provided by volunteer drivers for disabled adults who have no other transportation resources. Arrangements must be made at least 2-3 days in advance.

SMART Jobs Programs
Get-A-Job-Get-A-Ride! Gives a free SMART card for unlimited rides for a month for new employees (maximum of one a year). TransitChek: Employers can get a tax-deductible business expense and employees get a tax-free benefit of up to $65 per employee per month.

SMART Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
A curb-to-curb advanced reservation service is available for disabled individuals (must meet ADA requirements) only within 3/4 mile of a SMART regular route. Call the ADA Coordinator weekdays at 313-223-2304 to obtain an ADA application. Once certified call 800-624-3450 at least 24 hours ahead to schedule trips. All rides are $3 each.

Michigan WORKS! Work First
Gives $6 per day reimbursement ($10 in some northern cities) bus tickets, or a referral for the M.C.C.S.A. van for FIP applicants / recipients who attend the Work First training.
