Work Incentive Planning & Assistance

Work Incentives Planning & Assistance (WIPA) is a project that helps Social Security Administration (Social Security) disability beneficiaries to understand and use work incentives to start or return to work.

A Community Work Incentive Coordinator (CWIC) works individually with people who are currently working or seeking employment and helps them plan, through using work incentives, to build a more secure financial future and a better life.

A CWIC works with Employment Networks, Michigan Works One Stop Career Centers, local Michigan Department of Human Services – Rehabilitation Services (MRS) and Bureau of Services for Blind Persons offices, and other community agencies.
